The mandate of the AAB encompasses several objectives;

•  To build public awareness and understanding of the problems faced by persons with ASD.
  To provide advice and guidance to parents, the general public and organisations on solutions to issues faced by persons with ASD.
  
  
• To advocate for access to education, treatment, training, rehabilitative care and employment for persons with ASD.
  
  
• To work with representatives of government agencies, statutory authorities and other voluntary bodies to advance causes which seek to improve the lives of persons with ASD
  
  
• To organise meetings, exhibitions, training courses and other social events for persons with ASD and their caregivers.
